Grandmaster Jafar Navaei was born in 1983 in Mazandaran Province, northern Iran. He was introduced to this martial art at the age of 12 by his father, who was a long-time Hapkido master. After about 2 decades of experience in the championship, management, and technical departments of Hapkido and other martial arts, he was finally invited to South Korea in 2015 by the Global Hapkido Association GHA, headed by Grandmaster Hee Kwan Lee and the Myongji University of Sports Sciences and Martial Arts.
